Across fence-line to north is upland tulip poplar with dense Japanese Spiraea infestation - this decreases dramatically at fence line ~probably more dense on the grazed side. Some spots along river have huge silver maple along edge.;Low alluvial terrace above a steep, muddy bank along the beginning of an inside bend of river. Community is a floodplain forest dominated by huge sycamore. Smaller trees include box elder and silver maple. Shrub layer is patchy and herb layer is a lush growth of tall wingstem with a lower layer of native and exotic forbs and grasses. Community probably floods regularly.

Small patch / linear zone of floodplain forest, here near the inside bend of river has a better developed low-terrace than average.
